What a Full Service covers.
An Interim covers the core of it. A Full works through the lot, from the oil and filter to the brakes, steering, suspension, fluids, lights and tyres. Here is what each part means, and why it is on the list.
Want the detail for your own car? Ask when you book and we will talk you through exactly what yours needs.
The two tiers, side by side.
Both cover the essentials that keep a car healthy. The Full goes deeper, and adds the wear items a car needs less often.
The core service, to manufacturer specification.
- Engine oil & filter change
- All fluid levels checked & topped up
- Full visual safety check — brakes, suspension, steering
- Lights and tyres checked
- Air and cabin filter replacement
The deeper of the two, everything below in full.
- Everything in Interim Service
- Air filter replaced
- Cabin filter replaced
- Fuel filters and spark plugs — fitted where required, at an extra cost
- MOT test: add for +£39.99 alongside any service
- Warranty-specific parts for cars still under manufacturer warranty (message us first so we can order them)
Every part of it, and why it is there.
This is the scope taken straight from the work we actually do on a Full Service, not a padded list. Five areas, each one earning its place.
Engine oil & filter
We drain the old oil, fit a new oil filter and a new sump washer, and refill with the correct grade of oil for your car.
Oil does not just run low, it wears out. It picks up combustion by-products and thins under heat until it stops protecting the moving parts it is there to separate. The filter catches the metal and carbon it carries around, so the two are replaced together. This is the core of every service.
Fluid levels
Coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid where fitted, and screenwash are all checked, and topped up where needed.
Each of these drops over time, and a low level is often the first sign of something worth knowing about. Low coolant can point to a leak, low brake fluid can mean worn pads. Topping up is the quick part; spotting why it dropped is the valuable one.
Brakes
Your brakes are inspected for wear and condition. On a Full Service the wheels come off for a proper look, rather than the visual check an Interim gives.
Brakes wear gradually and quietly, and they are the one system you cannot afford to have fail. Catching thin pads or scored discs early is far cheaper than the damage they cause left alone, and it is exactly the sort of thing an MOT fails you for.
Steering & suspension
Steering and suspension components are checked for wear, play and damage.
These keep the car pointing where you aim it and settled over bumps. Wear here creeps in so slowly you stop noticing, until it shows up as vague steering, a knock over potholes, or tyres wearing unevenly. A check catches it before it costs you a tyre or a test.
Lights & tyres
Every light is checked for operation, and your tyres are checked for tread, condition and pressure.
Lights and tyres are among the most common MOT failures, and both are easy to miss from the driving seat. We check them as part of the service so you are not caught out. We check your tyres; we do not sell or fit them.
What the Full adds.
A Full Service does everything an Interim does, then goes further on the parts a car needs seen to less often.
- Air and cabin filters replaced. A clogged air filter chokes the engine and costs you economy; the cabin filter is the one behind your vents. Both are part of a Full Service.
- Fuel filters and spark plugs, where required. These are not on every service. Spark plugs run tens of thousands of miles and fuel filters go years. If yours are due, they are fitted at an extra cost and itemised on the invoice.
- A deeper brake inspection. The wheels come off for a proper look at the pads and discs, rather than the visual check an Interim gives.

We stamp your service book.
Bring your service book and we will note the work in it. A full, stamped history is one of the first things a buyer checks, and it protects what your car is worth later.
Some newer cars keep their history digitally with the manufacturer rather than in a paper book. If yours does, tell us the make when you book and we will let you know how we handle the record for your car.
Still under warranty? You can still come here.
Under UK Block Exemption rules you can use an independent garage without voiding your manufacturer warranty, as long as the car is serviced to schedule with the correct parts and fluids and you keep the record.
Just message us first so we can order any warranty-specific parts, which our online Full Service does not include by default.
